Sift 1 tsp pure matcha powder into a small bowl to remove clumps. Add 60ml hot water (not boiling) and whisk in a quick W or M motion until a smooth, frothy paste forms with no lumps.
Stir in 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey and 0.3 teaspoons vanilla extract directly into the matcha paste until fully combined.
Fill a glass with 1 cup of ice cubes, then pour in 1 cup oat milk (or milk of choice) over the ice.
Slowly pour the matcha paste over the milk and ice. Give it a stir, add a straw, and enjoy the calm focus.
